Cryptograph is the latest DApp to integrate Torus with their platform. Collectors can auction for, and own unique, limited and unforgeable digital art created by world-renown icons and artists.
Creators include notable artists like Kirsten Wiig, Ashley Greene, Seth Green, and blockchain thought leaders like Vitalik Buterin, Vlad Zamfir and Emin Gun Sirer.
Every time an auction is made, or when a Cryptograph exchanges hands, its proceeds would then be donated to the charitable causes that the creator is passionate about. As Cryptographs live on the blockchain forever, they would be able to provide charities with a sustainable form of income as long as they are put up for auction.
Logging into Cryptograph
Logging into Cryptograph with Torus is seamless, and users can select from any of their existing social accounts to log into Cryptograph with. Doing so would automatically connect their Torus wallet to the platform.
Logging in to each social account would create a different and unique wallet.
Managing your account
Once logged in, users are able to manage their Cryptograph account on the platform. Here they can change their username, view their current bids, conduct their KYC and top up their wallet with ETH.
Bidding for Cryptographs
The co-founders of Cryptographs invented the Gonnaud-Bessire-McDonaugh auction system to sell Cryptographs.
With the GBM auction system, bidders are rewarded with an incentive of up to 10% more than the amount they put in when they have been outbid.
If a cryptograph is already owned by a collector, the interested buyer can make an offer to buy that cryptograph.
The owner can choose to accept the offer and start an auction at any time, or set an Auction Trigger that will automatically start an auction when the set price has been reached.
All bids and offers made must be fully funded and are processed securely on the blockchain.
For any reason that the bid or offer is not successfully processed, the user’s full bid amount will be instantly refunded.
Verifying your Account
When conducting a transaction of more than €10,000, users are required to conduct a KYC with Cryptograph.
These identity verifications are necessary as every Cryptograph supports a charitable cause, and most charitable organisations will not accept donations over a certain amount if the source of funds cannot be verified.
The user would need access to their Yoti app to complete the KYC process. Once approved, the user would be able to conduct expensive bids.
Buying ETH
Users who need to top up their wallets with digital currencies like ETH can do so seamlessly with our integrated FIAT On-Ramp partners, users can select the best rates for the region they’re living in. Depending on the amount they wish to purchase, they might need to complete a separate KYC to finish the purchase.
