The National Blockchain Challenge 2019 will see developers from all over Singapore coming together to build blockchain applications that address matters surrounding the future of work. With rapid automation and emerging gig-economies, workforces all over the world need to pre-emptively adapt to these looming paradigm shifts. We believe that the solutions to establishing a robust modern workforce lie in the rising popularity of blockchain technologies and its untapped potential.
Concurring with Vitalik’s main message at ETH Singapore 2018, Torus is building the bridge into the decentralised web for mainstream audiences. We are eager to see pragmatic developments within this hackathon that actual users would have a use for.
From 14 to 16 June 2019, the National Blockchain Challenge Hackathon will push developers to build DApps that seek to bring answers to future-proof our workforce.
Backed by Skills Future SG and Lifelong Learning Institute, we are sponsoring NBC 2019 in support of Singapore’s national initiative to continually develop the skill competencies of local developers.
Torus Workshop: Smart Contracts
Our Co-Founder, Leonard Tan, will be conducting a workshop on smart contracts at the hackathon. Catch us at 7:30 pm on Friday, 14 June 2019 at Lifelong Learning Institute, Singapore. Leonard will be teaching how to develop your very own smart contract and share tips on pitfalls to avoid as a blockchain developer.
